MESSAGE & MAGIC OF CHRISTMASNorma's Beeline

What better time to share our blessings than at Christmas when magically this season fills our hearts with kindness and goodness, with tolerance and forgiveness. What better time to demonstrate the gift of giving, a gift given to us by the perfect child born in a manger so very long ago.  As we gleefully enjoy this season with our family and friends with bountiful gifts and festive dinners, let us pause for a moment and picture what christmas is like to those who are depressed and under-privileged.  Picture in your minds the victims of the vicious typhoons that pounded their homes over and over again, leaving them homeless, abandoned and lost. What is Christmas if you are sick and hungry? Christmas will just be another day for these people. It will just be another day without hope, faith, and sometimes without trust. But they will keep on waiting for those who remember. Let us give them back their hope and trust. Let us give them back their faith by opening our hearts.

Many congratulations and much happiness to Tom Matousek who was given a surprise B-day celebration by his lovely wife, Mercy. More than 150 guests were invited at the Drury Lane that served the most fabulous brunch in town. Highlight was Lily Simmons with her exotic "belly dancing" who wowed the crowd, especially the male specie. We also enjoyed Delfin and Liz Masangcay's Tango number, Grace Cumba's lovely songs, and Margie Boerema's interpretation of “I Dream a Dream,” and Romy Gumila's hit song of "To all the Girls I loved Before," which prompted all women taking turns in dancing with Tom. Family members of the Matousek's, Christian Callada, Ron delos Santos, and grandchildren, took turns in toasting the celebrant. It was a great family affair. Many thanks to the Matousek’s for a beautiful and enjoyable happening
