Here's also a happy B-day wishes to Dr. Nida Hernaez on her 50th (featured at VT’s Dec issue).  Venue was at the Lone Tree Manor in Niles. What with only the best when it comes to hosting social events, Dr. Nida did not leave any stones unturned, from the rose presentation, to the candle ceremony, and offering words of wisdom, and entertainment galore, she gave it all. Dr. Nida also wowed the crowd with her dancing skills in cha-cha, tango, and salsa, highlighted with a romantic dance with hubby, Dr. Ed Hernaez. To sum it up, it was a breeze of warmth to the cold and freezing temperature outside. Busy as a bee, is Merle Perricone,  who holds two top positions in the community: as president of the Philippine Nurses Association, Inc., and the PWC. Kick-off for the Philippine Week festivities took place at the PACF building in Addison. She formally took her oath as chairman-elect with her staff:  1st vice-pres..Silvy Fernandez, 2nd vice pres...Flora Sampang, Recording and Corresponding secretaries: Anita Rosa and Ella Basilio, Treasurer and Assistant: Emilia Fernandez and Nancy Catalona, Auditor, Allen Sanchez, PRO's..Lynette Torres and Tino Salazar,  Business Manager...Lorna Rodriguez, and Liason .Carmen Estacio. The PWC's priority project is its yearly medical mission .

On a special note, much happiness is extended to Daisy Cajigal  on her 69th B-day. The elaborate bash was hosted by her daughter, Lynette Torres, and sons, Mark and Nick. There is so much to talk about this woman whose love  and support for her family is overwhelming and inspiring....  as a daughter, parent, sister, and grandmother. She is the heart and soul that holds the Cajigal family together. Her dedication to the Philippine Mission Churches of Christ of Northern Luzon and Aparri Bible Seminary is immeasurable. She would like to make a special mention of the Burns family and the whole organization of Cornerstone Christian Center of Glen Ellyn who came for her birthday party. As a friend, Daisy is priceless.

On a sad note, her daughter Lynette was recently hospitalized but now is thankfully recuperating from a major surgery. The whole Cajigal family and husband, Robert, wish to extend their gratitude and appreciation to friends who shared in their moments of sadness and deep concerns for Lynette. Please continue the prayers.
